Life Blows
So yea, if you didn't figure it out already, Sara and I couldn't go yesterday to Halifax. I'm here, at work.....yay.... Seriously, what are the chances. I was so looking forward to this small trip, just to get away. But no...it can never be that easy. And I have nothing else finalized for future trips next year, so now I have nothing to look forward to (to keep my mind distracted). Korea doesn't count, since it's like 13 months away... *grrr* | | Saturday, December 5th, 2009 | | 11:43 pm |
Can't I have a break!
Why is life like this? We've had good weather for 3 weeks straight. It has been cold and wet on some days, but pretty awesome for november/december. So why does the world decide to have a storm on the two days I need!! Give me a freaking break!! I only asked for 2 fucking days! That is it. A reason to go see someone famous and hilarious, drive up with a friend listening to Kpop, hang out with friends I miss so much, and give me a break from Keltic for a bit. Get away from it all. This really fucking upsets me. Mom is already really worried; if Sara and I still decide to go she may give me her Accord for me to drive instead. It is heavier and has traction control. I mean, I don't want to put us both in danger, but I was really looking forward to this. And it just keeps getting worse as time passes. Wish me luck in the morning, and pray it shifts. However, I doubt I have that much luck. ... .. . | | Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009 | | 2:08 am |
"T-ara has come to get down"
We are now starting to open 9-9pm most nights now at Keltic. I'm not working every night, but there are enough of them for me to dread the Christmas season. I'm going away this weekend to see Kell and Sean, and see Dane Cook. However, I'm working wed-fri till 9, then saturday till 5, then it's the staff party at membertou, then get Sara, and drive to Halifax sunday, and drive back monday. Come that night, I'm going to be a wreck for sure. I hope I at least get a lot of sales from all these hours. I did find time to get my hair cut today though. I really like it. I'm keeping my length because I'm trying to grow it long, but I got my bangs back, and I'm going to try and keep them straight and not part them. It may not work out, but I'll try. I also got all of my Christmas shopping today. Well, I still have to order stuff for my secret santa, but that won't take long. I'm very happy, I'm done now. It's one less thing I have to worry about. While I was out, I got my external hard-drive and new speakers for my laptop. Those were my big x-mas gifts from mom. These will make my computer life a lot easier for sure. ^_^ Then mom and I went to see New Moon, since mom didn't see it yet. She loved it. But man, I have to finish reading Eclipse and Breaking Dawn soon. Mom has already finished the whole series and she wants to talk to me about it so much, but can't. I'm worried she might slip and tell me something, so I have to try and have them done by Christmas for sure. I love that mom and I have this obsession. And she is also someone I can talk to about the Korea/Keltic dilemma, which is nice. I swear the music coming from Korea just keeps kicking the ass out of dance music in North America. Tiff and I are obsessed with T-ara's new album! T-ara is like 4minute was for me a few months ago: I liked them but never gave them much attention or love. Now they released their album and hit dance track and I LOVE IT!!! Bo Peep Bo Peep is constantly in my head. I listen to it all the time, and their full album is on repeat on my iPod. There are not that many slow songs on it, but they are good. And ALL the fast songs I like! There is not one I hate, or dislike a little. The whole album is amazing. I should never think a group is 'meh' until I hear at least a mini album from them. K-drama update: Iris - up to ep. 8 You're Beautiful - ep. 2 (just started) Boys Over Flowers - ep. 10 or 11 (I forget) Nessa and I also just finished the anime 'Claymore'. It was pretty good, but does not end, and I can't see where online that they did a second season. So that kind of blows. I really want to see Darker Than Black still. I know it came out last year, but it's supposed to be pretty good, and I never did finish Black Lagoon, which I really liked. Man, I need more spare time. LOL. Unfortunately, I have to read a bunch of novels before the new year, b/c I told myself that I have to start learning korean at the start of 2010. And not just half-assed - really study it, like it was a school course. And I have to research info on teaching over there for my dad, and save money for that as well. YouTube channel
I forgot to mention that my YouTube Channel is JakiHime, if you guys didn't already know. I kind of wish I could have done them better, but I always have that opinion of myself. God, I need the YMCA to be all fixed so I can tape the others. I really want to upload them before people stop searching for those dances. Plans this week: Ninja Assassin (yummy Korean idol in a japanese style movie...yumm), Julie's B-day, and then Romeo and Juliet on Sunday, and hopefully more IRIS afterwards. Julie and I finished Hon (Soul) drama last night as well. I love love love Si Woo. He is exactly what we want in a korean boyfriend. ^_^ | | Sunday, November 22nd, 2009 | | 2:51 am |
Thanks!
Yay! Julie posted three of the dances I learned earlier in the year onto my YouTube channel. I'm not sure how many hits I'll get since they are older dances. Therefore, not a lot of people will be searching for those. But, once the YMCA is back open at night (there was damage during construction last week), I'm filming myself doing MUZIK, Abracadabra, and Ring Ding Dong. Those are more recent. I really want to post Ring Ding Dong though! Not a lot of people have covered that dance on YouTube surprisingly. So that one might actually get viewed a good amount. ^_^ And here is the most cute and depressing DBSK thing you will see. They win for Best Representative of Asia, and what Jaejoong says at the end will make your heart break if you at all like DBSK and are following the legal issues they are going through. The thank you's start at 1:40, and Jaejoong's is at 3:26. | | Friday, November 20th, 2009 | | 7:44 pm |
Hells Yeah!!
IRIS may have a season 2!!! It's so popular they are pretty sure they will be doing another season. They are trying to do it American style - a continuous series. Apparently, they may get a different production company, directors, and even actors. For me, the actors have to stay. The writing and production are amazing! They are of movie quality, but the actors make this series! Especially Byung-hun Lee. Love him!! I don't care that he is 40 years old. I'd still tap that! Oh yeah! | | Saturday, November 14th, 2009 | | 12:09 am |
Yay!!
Because 2012 started too early, I couldn't go to the show tonight with Craig and Matt. So I just stayed home after work. I planned to do some chores, but of course that didn't happen. LOL. I finished learning Ring Ding Dong!! Yay!!! I feel very happy. I am not awesome at it yet, but the parts that were tricky before, I finally figured out. Basically, I know all the steps, but I just have to practice more. I really really like this dance. It wasn't hard to learn; it just took time. I figured out outfits to wear for MUZIK and Abracadabra when I video tape myself. But I'm not sure what to wear for Ring Ding Dong. I'm sure I could layer some stuff to look more boyish, since I don't have cool stuff with feathers on it like the actual MV clothes. LOL. I really do have to start video taping this stuff. Once I start, i want to at least learn one dance each month to upload to YouTube. I want to try to be as consistent as possible.with this. It'll keep me exercising, but also learning new dances which I love to do. It'll put me on a schedule; almost like homework. I think it'll be good for me, and hopefully I'll get better at learning choreography, and learning it faster. Seeing myself in the mirror at the YMCA just confirms that I can learn the steps, but I find I don't 'look' like the idols when they do it. Now I know I shouldn't compare myself to people who have had awesome lessons and personal dance training, but I want to become really good. Other than Korea itself, I'm obsessed with getting better at dancing. I want to just have a style when I dance, like so many others on YouTube that I admire. Because in my apartment I feel like I am good, but then I see myself in the large mirrors, and it's not as good as I thought. By uploading videos I'll be able to learn from past ones, and see a progression. Oh god, I hope so at least. LOL. Next one I want to try: f(x)'s Chu~ | | Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009 | | 10:19 pm |
Know second verse now. Not 100%, but it was easier than I thought. I can't wait until I know it all! Yay! | | 9:53 pm |
Movie and Dance
So yes, as Tiff mentioned, we went to see Paranormal Activity last night. It was very creepy. The weird thing is, it wasn't the scariest thing I've ever seen, but it left an impression. I came home picturing all the parts where things moved on their own, or noises, and stuff happening to the girl, and it made me all creeped out. I was like "I guess I'm going to have to leave the hallway light on and play music when I go to bed". Luckily I was watching IRIS and fell asleep on the couch. And because I passed out, I wasn't worried about being scared and not getting any sleep. Thinking about some parts now, I can still freak myself out about it. I mean, I do live alone so that can happen pretty easily if I think about it enough. All in all, I liked it a lot. After all the gore movies I see and are desensitized to, it was nice to see a suspenseful scary movie, that actually scared me. I like the thrill. ^_^ Dance Update: I have up to the second verse learned for SHINee's Ring Ding Dong. I really hope the WaWa school is doing it right. They did post it quite fast, but I find their videos the best to learn from. I hope to know most of it by this time next week. I really really like this dance. Just watching it several times makes me remember moves and the timing. It's quite helpful, and fun. However, my thighs kill me after doing the 'ring, ding dong, ring ding dong,' part over and over. *LOL* | | 12:23 am |
Need MORE!!!
Damn Viikii.net getting their IRIS videos disabled. Damn!! Please, Amanda, Sara, Kat, anyone!!! If anyone knows where I can download or watch streamed videos of IRIS, please let me know! I've only seen the first 2 episodes, went to watch the next couple and I can't find them anywhere. Gah!! Need to see!! | | Saturday, October 31st, 2009 | | 9:49 am |
Update 2
So, they sent Natalie home. They looked at the catscan, saw something, but they are not really sure what it is. It may just be a bubble in her bladder or something like that. They said she could go home last night, only have liquids for 24 hours or so, and if it gets better, then it was nothing serious. Apparently she slept okay last night, and is feeling better so this is all very good signs she'll be okay. I did not like this though. I'm going to be on her about her health even more so now. I could not deal with her going in for surgery. I think I would breakdown for sure. Thanks everyone for your love and concern. It means a lot. *hugs* I'll make sure to keep you all posted. | | Friday, October 30th, 2009 | | 7:02 pm |
Natalie update They had to do a catscan...And they found something. The only thing is, they don't know what yet. A surgeon is getting out of surgery right now (7pm), and he apparently has to read it to tell us what it is. Oh...god...it just keeps getting worse. I'm really freaking out. If I wasn't at work, distracting myself, I would be in shambles for sure. | | 11:24 am |
Oh god!!
So I got into work this morning, and apparently Natalie is in the hospital on an IV. It's very scary. She had a pain this morning, and we didn't know what it was, so mom took her. Apparently she has a very high white blood cell count, so they were going to do some tests this morning. Mom still hasn't called us so I'm kind of on edge. I'm sure it's nothing serious...I hope anyway. Maybe it's just a appendicitis. I need info so I can stop worrying, and freaking out. Update: Mom called and said the cell count is very very high. Normal for a appendicitis is 10-15, and natalie's is 25!!! So it's trying to fight off something pretty bad. Now I'm even more freaked out! | | Tuesday, October 27th, 2009 | | 8:57 pm |
ANOWEEN VICTORY!
I had such a good time. Although, it didn't feel like Anoween at times. I danced a lot to music I love, hung out with friends, saw people I only see at events, and we had a big turnout. But for some reason, the spark wasn't there. I had an awesome time though. Every song I loved, except for a few I didn't know that well, but otherwise, it was great. I find whenever I'm rushing into my costume right before anoween, it takes me out of the essence of it. And I had to get nessa, pick up a friend, get a video tape, etc. so Tanya and I missed like 30 minutes around the beginning of it. I missed Genie, which was a shame, so I think that didn't start me off right. Otherwise, I loved doing my dances. Eoin doing Heartbreaker with us was awesome. It was so cool. Eunhee complimenting Tiff and I on our dancing, saying we should try out at the SM Global Auditions was so flattering. If I was asian, I would probably try, even though I can't act, sing, etc. I'd learn just for the chance. LOL. Next, of course, was the Sorry, Sorry line like Kat mentioned. That was so cool and funny. Cape Breton has the coolest people. Twig being Canada was pretty ultimate, and one of my favorite cosplays (and it wasn't even that difficult of a costume), next to Kathleen's which was epic. ^_^ People also donated a lot, which all 5 of us were very greatful for. Kat was right. Stuff like that keeps Anoween free from admission. And it is really touching because it shows everyone really appreciates what we do, and that means the world to us. Although anoween was fun, all it did was make me want to dance to stuff in a hall even more. I guess another Kpop will have to happen late winter/early spring or I may go insane. And, I have come to the decision that I will try to learn dances fast enough so I can post them on youtube. It's not only because of that contest, but I think it will keep me learning them, therefore exercising. I'm also jealous of the others online that do it, so why not me. Now I just need a good/cheap webcam, and see if I can do it from my apartment. If not, I may just borrow a video camera and tape it at the YMCA. The video might turn out better that way too (better lighting and such). I'll figure it out. I probably won't get the chance to do much on this until after x-mas, but we'll see. ^_^ | | Saturday, October 24th, 2009 | | 12:59 am |
Dance update for Anoween!! Full Dances Known (this is not all I know, just the ones I know that will be played at Anoween): Sorry, Sorry; MUZIK; AbracadabraI feel confident about Sorry, Sorry and MUZIK. I'm worried about Abracadabra only because of the floor parts, and the walking in boots. Nylons might get hurt, or wig may move because of the head twirls. I know it pretty well otherwise. Random/Chorus Only Dances: Ring Ding Dong; Super Girl; Heartbreaker; Gara Gara Go (not much of this one)In like the one week or so I've been listening to Ring Ding Dong, I'm totally hooked. I've been watching the dance video constantly. I have the full chorus learned. It's such a fun dance, and I'm definitely learning the whole. I do know random choreography from it that I will intertwine with my own dancing during Anoween. It's the same with Heartbreaker. I know a bunch of that song already, and the verses don't have that much movement, so it's better that way. As for Super Girl, it has a lot more intricate details that are harder to learn, compared to Ring Ding Dong. Surprising, I know. However, I learned the chorus part, and that will be good for now. I only listed Gara Gara Go because I do know random parts. Mostly random chorus parts, and only very little of the verses. It's a real fun song to dance to, so it'll be fine with my own stuff anyway. I can't wait to tape myself later when I learn them well. I see so many people do it online, that I want to as well. I know I'm not awesome, but I'd like to remember that I did it using YouTube. ANOWEEN!! Here we come! I need to dance!! | | Tuesday, October 20th, 2009 | | 2:10 pm |
Oh great...
Well great. Apparently, Dad doesn't really want to put up with Mike after Christmas, so sometime in the beginning of the year, he plans to hire someone and get rid of Mike. Which sucks! That is not going to make telling them about Korea any easier. So now, there will be no one to replace me. *sigh* | | Sunday, October 18th, 2009 | | 11:26 pm |
Song meme You can learn a lot about someone by the music they listen to. So here is the game! Hit shuffle on your ipod or mp3 player and write down the first 25 songs. No cheating or skipping songs that are shameful. That is the fun!
1. Do As Infinity - Fukai Mori Remix (Inuyasha ending) 2. Dr. Horrible - Brand New Day 3. DBSK - Miss You (ballad ver.) 4. Christina Lorentzen - Creeping in my soul 5. Linkin Park - Leave Out All the Rest 6. Gothic Power (epic trailer music....so awesome...think LOTR trailer) 7. Koda Kumi - anytime 8. Baek Ji Young - My Ear's Candy (RRM's Bitter Candy Mix) 9. DBSK - The Story Has Just Begun 10. Girls' Generation/SNSD - Girlfriend 11. Koda Kumi - Crazy 4 U (remix) 12. DBSK - Miss You 13. Casada - Everytime I Hear Your Name 14. DBSK - Love Is... 15. Britney Spears - Everytime (remix) 16. 2PM - 10 out of 10 17. BoA - Dress Off 18. Brtiney Spears - Boys (remix) 19. Skillet - The Last Night 20. Koda Kumi - Aishou 21. DBSK - The Way U Are 22. Britney Spears - Out From Under 23. Uhm Jung Hwa - D.I.S.C.O. part 2 (feat. G-Dragon) 24. Baby Vox - Sexy 25. Super Junior H - You & I Seriously, I don't think my iPod knows the definition of 'shuffle'. I don't mind the DBSK ones, but out of 5, 2 of them are the same song just different versions. LOL. And Super Junior just made it; well Super Junior H that is. I was worried they wouldn't even show up. LOL. But out of everyone on my iPod, the artists I have the most of are DBSK, Britney Spears, and Koda Kumi, so it does make sense. I love the random Skillet song. I love my more heavier stuff. I really have to put my Disturbed cds on my iPod. I have them, but I never put them on yet. ^_^ | | 11:15 pm |
Need more...
Just found a streamed subtitled version of T.O.P's new drama, IRIS. He was only in the second episode for like 10 seconds, but it was cool. He spoke english. But the drama itself is amazing. It apparently has a huge budget, so the explosives, scenes/sets, props, etc. are amazing. The first 10 minutes feels like a big hollywood action movie. Maybe they had a really long storyline and had to tell it in episode form. In just two episodes though, it has caught my attention. There was not a dull part. I really think anyone would like it. There is of course the love aspect that ever Korean drama has, but it is nicely intertwined with lots of mysteries and conspiricies. I recommend this series immensely. I just wish more was out already. However, it is a drama that is released twice a week which is awesome. ^_^ | | 6:25 pm |
How....
There is already a video on YouTube by the WaWa Dance Academy of Ring Ding Dong's choreography. How can they learn it that fast? Do these people go to school or work? I mean I can understand that they've had a few days to learn some moves from the MV (of what they showed), but there has only been two lives. And really only the one that came out last night was good enough to see all the moves from. Wow. How can they do that? I'm definitely not learning that by saturday either, but if I have parts of Super Girl and Ring Ding Dong done by then, I'll be happy. ^_^ Oh and I finished showing Tiffany MUZIK today. Yay!! I hope we can do it well infront of you guys. I definitely have to tape myself doing this one. I am the most pleased with this dance out of all of them. I know I know. I loved Sorry, Sorry, and I still do. But I find I can do the moves, but not perform it well. When I watch myself in the mirror, it's only okay. MUZIK I can do better. They are similar moves I have to admit, but who cares? LOL. | | Saturday, October 17th, 2009 | | 11:39 pm |
my current life
If only we had a new person trained and ready to replace me for a while.............. If only Tanya and Julie were finished this year instead of next........ If only I was stronger to ignore his comments....... I sold a bunch of things this afternoon, so he was in a good mood. However, should that really change my mind about the past week? month? Maybe I'll have a few peaceful days this week because of it. He may let me be for awhile. But is that enough? I don't have much faith that it will change. I can't ignore him, so all I can do is avoid him when I'm angry so things don't blow up. I'm not like other staff that, in the past, have got so angry, they ran out. I am not that dramatic when it comes to this. It is not just me either; I know that. But it began with me, so I feel like I get the most. KOREA NOW PLEASE! ....can we just press fast forward on my life...just a bit.... God, I'm pathetic. This is me; wanting to run away. That is not me at all. At least I have my music. I swear if I didn't have that I would go insane. Annyeong.... |
